Troubleshooting 505 on Google Play


The problem - in the renewal of the operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop by Google is a mistake that leads to the automatic removal of some "applications" . When a user tries to re-install the app from Google Play issued error number -505:



This problem affected only those users who have already installed our applications. For new users of this error does not occur. Google reports that will correct this situation in the next Android update, but the exact timing is not called.

However, at the moment it is possible to manually correct the error. Here below is the detailed instruction on Windows. Warning : all application data will be lost, if you want to keep your data, wait the next Android update.


Step 1

You must first enable remote USB debugging. To do this, go to the settings of your phone. In the bottom of the list you will find the item "About phone" - click on it. Next on the list scroll to "Build Number" and click on it 7 times.


You should see the message "Congratulations, now you're a developer." Go back to the "Settings" section and find the bottom of the item "Developer options". Next, check the box "Enable debugging for USB"





Step 2

Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable. If you do it the first time, then wait for the installation of the drivers for the device.



After successful connection you'll need on your phone to see a dialog box asking for permission to debug. Click OK.



Step 3

Download utility Android Debug Bridge (ADB). With it, we take appropriate action.

Save the file

Step 4

Unzip the downloaded archive. You should see a folder adb, and there should be 20 files. "Extract all...":

Step 5

Go to the folder adb and run Run_your_application.bat . After running it, you should see a "Success". You can now close this window.



Step 6 - Done!

Now you can re-download our apps on Google Play.
